Trichoderma deliquescens is a fungal pathogen that can cause significant damage to plant tissues, manifesting as soft rot or root decay. This pathogen primarily targets vegetable crops, seedlings, and ornamental plants, especially in nursery settings. It is particularly dangerous in humid environments where the pathogen can spread rapidly, infecting stems, roots, and sometimes the lower leaves of the host plants if they remain in contact with infested soil.
