The Amazone AD is a time-tested mounted seed drill that remains a benchmark in the traditional tillage sector. The machine's core philosophy centers on mounting directly to the soil tillage implement, creating a rigid setup that ensures exceptional seed placement depth even in heterogeneous field conditions.

The RoTeC coulter: key to stability

The heart of the system is the RoTeC single-disc coulter. Unlike standard solutions, the disc does not merely cut the furrow; it shapes it using a specialized plastic scraper that acts as a depth limiter. In practice, this design prevents soil accumulation in the coulter, even in high-moisture conditions. The absence of a traditional scraper in the furrow-forming zone allows for higher working speeds while maintaining consistent crop emergence.

Distribution engineering

The central seed distributor is positioned at the top of the hopper, minimizing the travel distance to the coulters. The internal geometry of the metering wheels allows for seamless switching between small seeds and cereals without requiring complex disassembly. A critical design feature is the stepless adjustment of the seed rate, which is vital when working with high-value seeds where every kilogram per hectare counts.

Practical adaptation

The AD is engineered for integration with power harrows. The hitch system allows for quick coupling with machinery from other manufacturers, while the compact center of gravity brings the weight of the drill closer to the tractor. This reduces lift capacity requirements and enables the use of lower-horsepower tractors without compromising stability during headland maneuvers.
