Field experience with Precea

The accessibility of the components is well-thought-out. Adjusting the seed rate via the SmartControl terminal is straightforward and saves significant time, especially when switching between crops. You don't need to be a software expert to handle it. Maintenance is standard, with well-placed grease points, and the build quality—specifically the heavy-duty pressure components—gives you confidence that the machine won't fail during peak season.

Operating Nuances

• Coulter Pressure: The hydraulic pressure adjustment is excellent for varying soil types. Whether it's compact soil or soft, wet patches, you can adjust on the fly to ensure consistent depth.
• Depth Control: The depth-guidance rollers are robust and maintain precision down to the millimeter, ensuring uniform germination across the board.
• Fuel Efficiency: The weight-to-width ratio is well-optimized, meaning you don't need an oversized tractor, which translates into lower fuel consumption per hectare.

From an operator's perspective, this machine is highly maintainable. Most consumables are standard, and parts availability is reliable. It’s a machine that demands respect and proper maintenance, but in return, it delivers a flawless planting bed every single time.
