Apple variety Luna — a winter Czech variety, created by crossing the varieties Topaz and Golden Delicious. This diploid variety is characterized by high yield and early fruiting, bearing fruit as early as the 2nd or 3rd year after planting. Trees establish quickly, grow vigorously, and reach a height of up to 3.5 meters. The apple tree has a full, spreading canopy, and its shape allows for easy shaping. The variety is low-maintenance and suitable for cultivation in both organic and integrated farming systems, preferring sunny locations and warmer climates. The fruits of variety Luna are large, round, weighing 200–250 grams, with a beautiful yellow-green skin that may develop a slight blush or pinkish hue when harvested late or stored. The flesh is yellowish, firm, juicy, crisp, and aromatic. The flavor is dessert-like, balanced with a harmonious combination of acidity and sugar, making the apples especially enjoyable when eaten fresh.
