Field Performance of the "Badoryi" Variety

The "Badoryi" variety, developed by the V. Ya. Yuriev Plant Production Institute, is designed for reliability. For farm operators, this two-row barley offers a critical advantage: a winter hardiness rating of 9 out of 9. This means the crop withstands severe temperature fluctuations and sudden frosts without thinning out, ensuring a predictable stand density across the field.

Agronomic Management

The plants reach a height of 70-80 cm, which is an ideal range for mechanized harvesting. The stem strength significantly reduces the risk of lodging, minimizing yield loss and simplifying the combine adjustment process. With a vegetation period of 80-90 days, it allows for efficient planning of the harvesting season. Field health is maintained through natural genetic resistance to:

• Covered smut;
• Loose smut;
• Onion stem smut;
• Powdery mildew.
