Developed by the V.M. Remeslo Myronivka Institute of Wheat (NAAS), «MIP Sarmat» has become a benchmark for Ukrainian spring barley. Agronomic Profile and Performance

«MIP Sarmat» stands out due to its resilience against common agricultural stressors. The variety’s performance in the field is defined by several critical factors:

• Exceptional Hardiness: Despite being a spring variety, it exhibits high winter hardiness ratings (8–9 points), effectively mitigating the risks associated with sudden spring temperature fluctuations.
• Disease Resistance: The variety shows strong natural resistance to powdery mildew, allowing farmers to reduce chemical usage during the growing season.
• Optimal Morphology: With a plant height of 60–70 cm, «MIP Sarmat» is highly resistant to lodging, which facilitates mechanized harvesting and reduces grain loss.

Yield and Grain Quality

With a vegetation period of 90–100 days, this barley efficiently capitalizes on early spring moisture.
