Description
Pallidum 107 is a medium-maturing spring barley (Hordeum vulgare L.) variety intended for grain and feed use. The plant features short or medium-length stems and a semi-erect bush. The ear is cylindrical and loose, with long awns, lacking a waxy coating on the ear, and awns longer than the ear without anthocyanin pigmentation at the tips. The grain is large, with a hairy ventral groove and an enveloping lodicule, with a 1000-grain weight ranging from 43 to 50 grams. The vegetative period of the variety lasts from 70 to 86 days, corresponding to a medium-maturing type.
The variety is approved for the Central Chernozem region and recommended for cultivation in Belgorod, Kursk, Tambov, and Voronezh regions. The average yield in the Central Chernozem region reaches 33.7 centners per hectare, approximately 31 centners per hectare in Belgorod and Tambov regions, with the maximum yield recorded in Lipetsk region at 82.2 centners per hectare.
