Erevan Basil is an annual aromatic plant with bright purple leaves, possessing a rich aromatic scent. This variety is characterized by its early maturity, with a vegetative period of about 55-60 days, and a compact bush reaching a height of 60-70 cm. The leaves are large, oval-shaped, and a deep purple color, giving the plant high decorative value. The mass of one mature plant reaches 200-300 grams.
Growing Erevan Basil is possible both through seedlings and direct sowing of seeds into open warm soil from April to June. For successful growth, the plant requires a sunny and warm location, regular watering, and timely application of fertilizers. With insufficient feeding, leaves become tough, and their taste qualities deteriorate. After each cutting, basil quickly recovers, forming new stems and aromatic leaves.
