HAKI

Hakii Basil is a type of hybrid of the Genoese variety, developed by Spark Seeds in the USA. This medium-early variety is distinguished by its rich clove aroma and attractive appearance, making it in demand in the fresh produce market. The leaves of the plant have a purple-green color, maintaining a purple hue throughout the vegetation period and not turning green. The plant is resistant to diseases, which ensures a stable yield and high product quality.

The maturation period of Hakii basil is from 42 to 50 days before harvesting for greens, and 55-60 days before flowering. The leaf rosette is semi-erect, with a height of 30-35 cm and a diameter of 28-31 cm, with 3-5 flowering shoots. The leaves have an egg-shaped shape, a length of about 3.9 cm and a width of 2.8 cm, a slightly wrinkled surface with a smooth edge and slight waviness. Inflorescences 8-12 cm long are directed upwards, flowers are white. The weight of one plant when harvested for greens reaches 110-140 g, and the yield is 0.9-1.1 kg per square meter. This basil is suitable for both fresh consumption and pickling.
