Mikado F1

Mikado F1 cabbage is an early-maturing, high-yield hybrid of Chinese cabbage, suitable for cultivation in open ground, greenhouses, and under plastic covers. The vegetation period from seedling transplanting to harvest is 50-65 days. Heads are medium-sized, light green, barrel-shaped, well-closed, and have an average weight of 1.5 to 2.5 kg. The hybrid features excellent crisp leaf texture and high resistance to low temperatures and flower stalk formation, allowing successful cultivation in various climatic conditions. For maximum yield, Mikado F1 should be grown on sandy loam and clay loam soils rich in organic matter, with mandatory mineral, especially nitrogen, fertilization. The optimal planting density is 3.5-4.5 plants per square meter or 80-100 thousand plants per hectare. Germination requires a temperature range of 15-18°C; excessively low or high temperatures during seedling growth may negatively affect plant development, causing elongation or bolting. Mikado F1 cabbage is intended for fresh market and short-term storage. It requires good moisture, as water deficiency and high temperatures during growth reduce flavor and market quality, causing bitterness and leaf toughening. This hybrid is also an important source of vitamins K and C, making it a valuable and popular product for healthy eating.
