WINTER DELIGHT

Winter Delight is a late-maturing variety of cabbage that features round, uniform heads weighing up to 3 kg. The heads have an exceptionally dense structure with a thin texture; the outer leaf color is grey-green, while the cut surface shows a white-yellow hue. This variety is renowned for its juiciness and excellent taste, making it versatile in application.

Cabbage of the Winter Delight variety is characterized by high resistance to problems such as black leg and head cracking. Crops form evenly, which facilitates mechanical harvesting and ensures high marketability. Additionally, the variety boasts excellent storage life—heads maintain their quality for 7-8 months, allowing for use during the winter period.

Cabbage cultivation begins with sowing seedlings in late March to early April with a sowing depth of 0.5-1 cm. During growth, mineral fertilizer feeding, regular watering, and ventilation are necessary to prevent seedling stretching. Seedlings are transplanted to open ground in late May at a 60 x 60 cm scheme, burying the plants up to the first true leaf. It is important to ensure regular and abundant watering, especially during head formation. To protect against pests such as aphids, snails, and slugs, it is recommended to dust plants and soil with wood ash.
