The roots weigh between 100 and 300 grams, featuring a wide conical shape with a slightly pointed or blunt tip. The foliage is robust, medium-green in color, with erect leaf rosettes and medium-cut, light-green leaves. The vegetative period ranges from 110 to 135 days, making the variety medium-early and suitable for various climatic conditions. Carson is distinguished by its excellent taste qualities, containing 9.7 to 15.1% dry matter, 5.6-7.1% total sugar, and up to 11.7 mg of carotene per 100 g of raw product. Juice yield from 1 kg of roots reaches 456 ml, making this variety attractive for processing. The yield is high, ranging from 335 to 560 centners per hectare, with maximum indicators up to 800 c/ha under favorable conditions. Marketable product yield is 80-93%, indicating high cultivation efficiency. The Carson variety boasts good storability and resistance to mechanical harvesting, as well as moderate resistance to diseases such as alternaria, black leg, and cercosporosis. It is recommended for use both fresh and for winter storage. The sowing rate is 0.8-1.1 million seeds per hectare, ensuring optimal planting density and high-quality harvest. Due to its characteristics, Carson carrot is a versatile and reliable choice for commercial production.
