Description
For successful cultivation of Napoli F1, it is recommended to choose well-drained loamy and sandy soils, avoiding heavy clay soils, where root distortion and reduced yields may occur. The hybrid prefers sunny areas with moderate moisture and does not require excessive nitrogen fertilization. Standard agronomic practices include thinning seedlings, weeding, loosening rows, and mineral fertilization. Seeds are sown after frost, usually at the beginning of May, ensuring ripe roots by day 85-90 after sowing.
The hybrid exhibits high resistance to pathogenic bacteria, bolting, and splitting, which simplifies care and increases yield stability. The roots are dense, uniform, and free of cracks, making them suitable for both fresh consumption and processing — such as puree and juice. Early roots harvested on day 60 are excellent for summer salad dishes, although they do not keep well. The recommended planting density is 0.8 to 1.4 million seeds per hectare, ensuring optimal yield and product quality.
