Carrot Cesena F1 is an early hybrid of the Chantenay type, developed by the Dutch seed company Bejo Zaden. This variety features cylindrical-shaped roots with bright orange, uniform coloration both on the outside and inside. The weight of the roots ranges from 100-250 grams, and their length and shape make them convenient for processing and consumption. The hybrid was developed for cultivation in various climatic conditions, including both open and protected ground, ensuring its versatility and wide application. The maturation period of Cesena carrot ranges from 90 to 118 days, allowing for an early harvest. With proper care, including planting in light, well-aerated, and warmed soils, regular watering, and root feeding, up to 5-6 kg of roots can be harvested per square meter. The hybrid is resistant to diseases such as cercosporosis, alternaria, and black rot, enhancing cultivation reliability and crop quality. The roots of Cesena carrot have juicy, sweet, and firm flesh with high levels of vitamins, sugars, and carotene. Thanks to these qualities, the carrot is ideal for processing, canning, and freezing. From one kilogram of roots, approximately 450-490 ml of juice can be obtained. Additionally, the hybrid is widely used for market sales, washing, packaging, and culinary purposes, making it popular among farmers and consumers.
