MALINKA

The "Malinka" carrot variety is a high-yield mid-season variety with a period from germination to harvest of 100-140 days. The roots have a cylindrical shape with a blunt end, measuring 18 to 25 cm in length and 90 to 200 g in weight. They are distinguished by their bright orange-red color, high sweetness and juiciness, as well as a carotene content of up to 18 mg per 100 g of raw product, ensuring excellent taste qualities and high nutritional value. The variety belongs to the Nantes type and is suitable both for home cooking and for processing and production of bunch products.

One of the important advantages of the "Malinka" variety is its resistance to diseases such as fusarium (dry rot) and wet rot, as well as to root cracking. This contributes to a high yield, which reaches 5-7 kg per square meter, and a high marketable yield of 85-95%. Thanks to these qualities, carrots are well stored for a long time, which makes them convenient for long-term use and sale.

For successful cultivation of the variety, it is recommended to sow seeds in ridges at a depth of 1.5-2 cm, with the possibility of winter sowing at a depth of 3 cm in late October to early November. Until germination, the crops are desirable to be covered with film to maintain optimal soil moisture. During growth, two thinning procedures are carried out: the first when two true leaves appear, and the second when the roots reach a diameter of about 1 cm. Plants require timely watering, weeding, loosening and feeding, and also prefer fertile soils of a light mechanical composition.
