Newhall F1 carrot — a mid-season Nantes-type hybrid developed by Bejo Zaden. This hybrid is characterized by high yield and stable maturation within 117–120 days after sowing. The roots are cylindrical, reaching up to 24 cm in length and 100–300 grams in weight. Their bright orange color is retained both inside and outside, and the flesh contains a significant amount of carotene (19–20 mg) and sugars (7–8%), ensuring excellent taste qualities.

Newhall F1 is known for its adaptability and low maintenance, making it suitable for cultivation across all regions of Ukraine, both in open and protected soil. The hybrid grows well on light soils, is resistant to dense planting and high solar activity. It requires moderate watering, soil loosening, and protection from pests. Carrots are resistant to diseases such as cercosporosis, alternaria, and false powdery mildew, significantly reducing the risk of crop loss.

Newhall F1 roots have an exceptionally smooth, even surface and dense, dark green leaf structure. After maturation, carrots maintain their market quality in the field for a long time, do not crack or deform, making them ideal for direct sales, mechanized harvesting, storage, and processing into juices, purees, and sliced products.
