RED QUEEN

The "Red Queen" carrot variety is a mid-late hybrid with a vegetative period of about 115–125 days. The roots have an elongated conical, pointed shape, measuring 17–25 cm in length and up to 5 cm in diameter, weighing 110–220 g. A distinguishing feature of the variety is the rich red or orange-red color of the flesh and core, which is tender and juicy. The leaf rosette is upright, reaching up to 45 cm in height, which promotes good plant development and formation of a quality harvest.

The variety is characterized by high yield, reaching 4–7.5 kg per square meter, as well as resistance to cracking and flowering of roots. Thanks to its high vitamin and beneficial substance content, the carrot has healing properties. It is excellent for fresh consumption, home cooking, and long-term storage. Additionally, "Red Queen" is used to prepare food colorants, for example, when fermenting cabbage, giving dishes an original color. This variety is ideal for borscht, vinaigrettes, and other traditional dishes.

The carrot stores well until early summer or even until the next harvest, maintaining its commercial and taste qualities. Sowing is done in April–May, and harvest is collected from July to October.
