Rufina

Rufina F1 carrot is an early-maturing F1 hybrid of the Nantes type, characterized by high yield and fruit quality. The roots are cylindrical, 20-25 cm long, with smooth skin and a rich orange color both inside and out. The carrot core is juicy, crunchy, and sweet, giving it a pleasant sweet taste. Due to its high resistance to bolting, cracking, and alternaria, this hybrid is suitable for early harvest as bunches within 55-65 days after germination, with full maturity occurring within 80-90 days. Rufina F1 carrot also has a long storage life and is versatile in use — suitable for fresh consumption, preservation, drying, and freezing.

For successful cultivation of Rufina F1 carrot, various soil types are recommended, including chernozems, heavy, chestnut, peat, sandy, and light loamy soils. Seeds are sown into compacted soil in shallow furrows at a rate of 0.8-1.0 million per hectare. Prior to sowing, it is advisable to soak the seeds to remove essential oils, provided adequate moisture is ensured. The optimal sowing time is spring (April-May), with germination occurring within 10 days at approximately +20°C, while at lower temperatures, germination may take up to 4 weeks.

Care for carrots includes timely watering, soil loosening, fertilization, regular weeding, and pest control. Organic fertilizers are not recommended, but carrots grow well after crops that have been fertilized with them. Mineral fertilizers should be selected based on soil analysis. Rufina F1 carrot exhibits cold tolerance and moderate drought resistance, but for high yield, good lighting conditions are required. Soil liming is an effective method for disease prevention.
