Engine and Drivetrain Dynamics

The core of the Case IH MXM series lies in its 7.5-liter CNH (Power Tech) engine, engineered specifically for high torque reserve. Unlike modern high-output engines, the focus here is on lugging power: the engine maintains consistent torque during RPM drops under heavy loads, which is crucial for pulling large-scale disc harrows or deep rippers. The 18x6 Full Powershift transmission allows for on-the-go shifting without interrupting power delivery, significantly reducing cycle times during headland turns.

Hydraulics and Precision Control

The closed-center load-sensing hydraulic system, powered by an axial-piston pump, delivers up to 113 l/min. In field conditions, this translates into immediate implement response and stable operation of hydraulic motors on precision planters. The Electronic Draft Control (EDC) is integrated directly into the rear linkage, allowing the system to adjust to varying soil resistance faster than manual input could ever manage.

Structural Integrity and Maintenance

The MXM chassis is built to withstand rigorous static and dynamic stress associated with heavy-duty draft work.
