At the core of the Case IH Puma is a design philosophy focused on versatility across both heavy-duty field work and high-speed transport. The heart of the machine is the 6.7-liter FPT Industrial engine, engineered to provide a high torque curve at lower RPMs. This allows the tractor to maintain consistent performance under heavy draft loads without the constant need for downshifting, ensuring fuel efficiency and longevity.

Drivetrain Precision

The Puma series offers a choice between the rugged PowerDrive semi-powershift transmission and the advanced CVXDrive continuously variable transmission. The CVXDrive stands out by enabling active stop-and-hold functionality on slopes, automatic engine-to-ground speed optimization, and independent PTO speed control. This transmission architecture maximizes mechanical efficiency, which is critical when managing power-hungry implements.

Hydraulics and Integration

The Closed-Center Load-Sensing System (CCLSS) delivers up to 150-170 l/min of hydraulic flow, providing the muscle required for large pneumatic planters and high-demand hydraulic attachments. Operator comfort is managed through the Surround Vision cab, which maximizes sightlines, combined with the Terraglide front axle suspension that absorbs terrain impact during long field shifts. Full ISOBUS compatibility ensures the tractor integrates seamlessly with AFS (Advanced Farming Systems) software for precision data management.
