Description
The Chrysanthemum variety "Lilac Wonder" features a compact bush up to 60 cm tall with double florets in dark lilac color, about 7 cm in diameter. Blooming starts in mid-September, allowing you to enjoy bright and saturated colors in autumn. This variety is characterized by high winter hardiness, but requires proper preparation for the winter period: the plant should be covered after the first stable frosts and in the absence of excessive moisture to avoid waterlogging and bush death.
To successfully grow "Lilac Wonder", choose sunny, wind-protected locations with dry, light, and humus-rich soil. High groundwater levels are inadmissible, as excessive moisture can lead to root rot. Planting is best done on a cloudy or rainy day, and in hot weather – early morning or late evening. Chrysanthemum roots grow parallel to the soil surface, so planting them too deep is not recommended. Additional support is required for tall plants.
Care for the chrysanthemum includes moderate watering, where the root system does not rot, but in dry weather, more abundant watering is required to maintain the decorative quality of stems and flowers. Settled or rainwater is preferred. The plant does not tolerate shade well; in such conditions, leaves lose color saturation, and flowers become pale. Adherence to these conditions will maintain the health and decorative quality of the chrysanthemum throughout the season.
