Description
Chrysanthemum 'Promenistaya' — a perennial herbaceous plant with a rootstock, reaching a height of 50-60 cm. The flowers are large, up to 8 cm in diameter, with ray florets shaped like spoon-like tubes at the tips. In the half-bloom stage, the petals appear bicolor: the main part is bright magenta, while the base is white-pink. The flower center is bright yellow and clearly visible. The leaves are dark green, large, elongated with serrated edges. The bush is medium-sized and slightly spreading, with a diameter of up to 40-50 cm, forming dense clumps and growing rapidly.
The plant prefers sunny locations and fertile, sandy-loam or clay soils with good drainage and moderate moisture. It blooms profusely and early — from August to September — making it an excellent choice for flowerbeds, borders, parterres, and mixed borders. Chrysanthemum 'Promenistaya' is also suitable for cutting and bouquet making, harmonizing well with sedums, buglosses, and various grasses. It is propagated by dividing the rootstock in spring or by stem cuttings in summer. It overwinters in the ground provided it is on dry ground without water stagnation; in harsh winters, it requires slight protection.
This chrysanthemum is distinguished by its decorative appeal and hardiness, allowing its use in landscape design as well as for cutting. Thanks to its bright coloration and original flower shape, it attracts attention and enlivens any garden area. The plant tolerates wintering in the ground with cover, ensuring its longevity and consistent blooming year after year.
