Description
Chrysanthemum variety 'Ukrayinochka' is a compact bush about 40-70 cm tall and 40-60 cm in diameter. This creamy-peach variety features a delicate color palette and belongs to Korean chrysanthemums, known for their good winter hardiness. Thanks to this, the plant successfully overwinters outdoors, but in regions with harsh winters, it is recommended to cover it with agrofabric or other protective materials to preserve the health of the bush.
The plant prefers sunny locations, as it loses its shape and stops flowering in shade. The leaves are simple, dark green, may be entire, toothed, or lobed, arranged alternately. The root system is strong and branched, located in the upper 25-cm layer of soil. For successful growth and flowering, chrysanthemum requires neutral, well-drained soil without waterlogging.
This variety is widely used in landscape design to create low-growing flowering hedges and bright autumn compositions. It is also planted in pots on terraces and balconies, used in alpine gardens and specialized chrysanthemum gardens. The plant is shipped in autumn, with cool weather, when the root system with part of the stem and underground stolons is packed in a moist substrate to preserve viability during transport.
