PRIME 1004

The PRIME 1004 cotton variety belongs to the species Gossypium hirsutum L. and is characterized by spreading vegetation of medium height, palmate leaves with gossypol glands and nectararies. Petal color is cream.

The fruiting stalk of this variety is medium, and the boll is of medium size, oval in shape. Raw fiber content in the boll is low, however, the opening is medium, which ensures good air and light circulation inside the fruit. The mass of raw fiber in one boll is 4.5 g.

PRIME 1004 fiber has medium length (29 mm), medium strength and fineness. Linear density of fiber is 152 tex, fiber type is 4. Breaking load is 33.6 N, and staple length is 33.0 mm. Total cotton raw fiber yield reaches 27.5 c/ha, while in house-harvested crops it can reach 78%. Seed yield level is 17.3 c/ha.

The variety vegetative period is 128 days. Fiber recovery is 37.0% of raw fiber mass. According to the applicant's data, PRIME 1004 was not affected by diseases and is recommended for cultivation in zones with a sum of active temperatures of not less than 32000 °C.
