ALENKA

Cucumber variety ALENKA is a fast-maturing, high-yielding variety with a vegetation period of 35-40 days. Fruits have an elongated cylindrical shape with sparse bumps and sparse black hairs. The zucchini are even, uniform in size, 6-16 cm long and 70-100 g in weight. The variety is characterized by synchronized fruit ripening, high marketability, and excellent taste without bitterness.

The plant is medium-height, with a prolonged fruiting period, resistant to cucumber mosaic virus, olive spot, and true powdery mildew. Cucumbers are suitable for fresh consumption or preservation. Yield in open ground reaches 15 kg per square meter, and in protected environments — up to 30 kg per square meter.

To successfully grow variety ALENKA, it is necessary to maintain adequate moisture and warmth, as soil drying may result in bitter fruits. Sowing is carried out at stable warm temperatures, seeds are sown in rows in two rows with 60 cm between rows and 7-10 cm between plants. Seed depth depends on soil type: 4-5 cm for light soils and 3-4 cm for heavy soils. Irrigation is recommended with warm water every 3-4 days. Harvesting should be conducted every 1-2 days to maintain active fruiting.
