Cucumber Brigantina is a medium-maturing, bee-pollinated hybrid intended for cultivation in open ground. The plant is indeterminate, medium-height with moderate branching and mixed flowering type. The main vine reaches a length of 2-2.5 meters, with medium-sized, dark green leaves. This variety is distinguished by high yield stability and versatility of use, as the fruits are suitable for fresh consumption, pickling, and canning. Cucumber Brigantina fruits have a cylindrical shape with large, dense bumps and white hairs. The length of the cucumbers is about 12-13 cm, the diameter — 3.6-3.8 cm, and the fruit mass varies from 95 to 105 grams. The cucumbers possess high flavor qualities that are retained both fresh and after pickling or canning. Due to their dense structure and excellent taste, these cucumbers are ideal for preparing cornichons and other preserves. One of the key advantages of the Brigantina variety is its high resistance to diseases such as downy mildew and bacterial spot, which ensures stable yields and reduces the need for frequent use of protective treatments. The commercial yield of the hybrid reaches 158-489 centners per hectare, significantly exceeding the performance of standard varieties.
