BROTHER FROM THE NORTH

Cucumber variety "Brother from the North" is an early-maturing, bee-pollinated variety with predominantly female flowering and abundant fruiting. The plant is medium-height, with the main stem reaching 2.5-3 meters, ensuring good development and heavy yield. The variety is suitable for cultivation both in open ground and under plastic covers, making it versatile for various climatic conditions.

Fruits are cylindrical in shape, with a medium-ribbed surface and white pubescence, measuring 9-12 cm in length and 90-115 grams in weight. The cucumbers have a crisp, firm texture and are free of bitterness, making them ideal for fresh consumption and pickling. High flavor quality and disease resistance allow this variety to be used for various agricultural purposes, matching hybrid varieties in productivity and quality.

Cultivation technology includes sowing seedlings in early May with seed depth of 0.5-1 cm, and transplanting seedlings aged 15-20 days at the end of May according to a 30x40 cm scheme. When sowing directly into open ground, seeds are planted 1-2 cm deep at the end of May to early June. Plants require regular watering with warm water and surface soil loosening to avoid damaging roots. Fertilization is applied once every 7-10 days, alternating organic and mineral fertilizers, preferably after watering or rain. The first fertilization is conducted two weeks after transplanting seedlings. Protective measures against diseases and pests may be applied as needed. Seeds retain biological viability for up to 8 years under proper storage conditions.
