Brutus

Brutus — this is a very early and productive parthenocarpic cucumber hybrid with a vegetation period of 32-37 days. The plant is suitable for cultivation both in open and protected ground, making it versatile for various climatic conditions and cultivation technologies. The hybrid is ideal for spring and autumn crops, and is intended for fresh market and processing, thanks to its high yield and fruit quality.

The Brutus plant has a healthy, open growth form with short suckers and a strong root system. The plant height reaches about 2 meters, with 23-24 internodes. 3 to 5 cucumbers form in the leaf axils, sometimes up to 7-9, and the plant can retain up to 45-50 fruits without abortion. Such high fruiting is combined with strong stems and leaves, ensuring reliable fruit retention and preventing deformation.

Brutus fruits are beautiful green zucchini with good ribbing, without ridges or hollows inside. They have a sweet taste and rich aroma, making them especially attractive to consumers. Fruit size varies from 10 to 14 cm in length and 3 to 3.5 cm in width, with a length-to-width ratio of 3.1-3.3:1. The fruits have a cylindrical shape without barrel-shaped deformations and remain crisp even after pickling. The hybrid has high resistance to major cucumber diseases, including powdery mildew, cladosporiosis, cucumber mosaic, and other viral infections, further enhancing its reliability and appeal for cultivation.
