Description
The hybrid exhibits high resistance to major cucumber diseases such as cucumber mosaic virus, olive spot, true powdery mildew, and is tolerant to false powdery mildew. Thanks to these qualities, Daughters-Mothers F1 is suitable for cultivation under various climatic conditions and ensures a stable yield even under adverse weather conditions. The plant adapts well to fertile, well-drained medium-loam soils and prefers predecessors such as potatoes, onions, cabbage, and peppers.
For successful cultivation, it is recommended to follow agronomic practices: sowing seeds into the soil when soil temperature is not lower than 13°C and air temperature above 15°C, and transplanting seedlings after the threat of frost, with a density of 3-4 plants per square meter. Plants require vertical support and regular pinching of lower fruits and lateral shoots for proper vine formation. Harvest begins 46-51 days after mass emergence, with total marketable yield reaching up to 12.9 kg per square meter in open ground and up to 29 kg in greenhouse conditions. Cucumber Daughters-Mothers is excellent for fresh consumption and canning, making it a versatile choice for gardeners.
