Cucumber Diyez F1 — an early parthenocarpic hybrid of cornichon type, developed by Rijk Zwaan from the Netherlands. This variety is intended for cultivation in open ground, primarily in rows, and is characterized by a short vegetation period — from transplanting seedlings to the first harvest takes only 40-45 days. The plant is strong, balanced, with dense foliage and large dark-green leaves possessing the "blue leaf" trait, which contributes to high resistance to mechanical damage during harvest and rapid regeneration afterward.

The hybrid demonstrates high yield and good fruit set, forming no fewer than two fruits per node. Diyez F1 cucumbers grow uniformly, 10-12 cm long, with a bumpy dark-green skin covered with small spines. The fruits have crisp, aromatic flesh, are non-bitter, and do not over-ripen, making them especially attractive for fresh consumption, salad preparation, as well as for canning and fermentation. The fruit length-to-diameter ratio is approximately 3.1:1.0, meeting the standards of the cornichon type.

The variety exhibits high resistance to viral and fungal diseases, including resistance to pathogens such as Ccu/Px, CMV, and CVYV. It is tolerant to high temperatures and adverse growing conditions, allowing it to maintain stable productivity even under challenging climatic conditions.
