Description
Green Stream F1 — an early parthenocarpic hybrid of cucumber of cornichon type, maturing in 42-45 days after emergence. The plant is strong, with weak branching, which simplifies care and harvest both in protected ground and open ground, including cultivation under temporary plastic coverings. The hybrid forms a single stem and is grown on a trellis, especially convenient for greenhouses. The planting scheme in greenhouses is 30x70 cm.
The fruits are cylindrical, 11-13 cm long, dark green in color with frequent medium ridges and white spines, weighing 110-120 g. They have a sweet and aromatic taste, ideal for fresh salads, and retain a pleasant crunch when pickled or marinated. Green Stream is distinguished by high yield — up to 15-16 kg per square meter, and consistently delivers a good harvest even under unfavorable summer conditions.
Sowing for seedlings is recommended in late April, and transplanting into the ground — in late May or early June, when the plants have formed 3-4 true leaves. Direct sowing into the ground is also possible in May-June. The hybrid is resistant to such diseases as cucumber mosaic virus, cladosporiosis, and powdery mildew, making it a reliable choice for various cultivation conditions.
