Cucumber variety ISTOK is a medium-early, high-yielding variety intended for cultivation in open ground or under temporary covers. Plants have medium vigor and a female flowering type, which contributes to obtaining a large harvest even on limited areas. Cucumbers have an elongated-oval or cylindrical shape, 10-12 cm long and 70-80 g in weight, with a characteristic black-spined surface and light stripes. Fruits have a pleasant, juicy, crisp flavor without bitterness, making them ideal for fresh consumption, pickling, and canning.

Variety ISTOK stands out for its high resistance to diseases such as powdery mildew and bacterial spot, as well as good cold tolerance. However, it is relatively demanding regarding heat, humidity, and soil fertility. Seeds germinate at 12-13 °C, while the optimal temperature for plant growth is around 25 °C. Growth stops below 10 °C, and frost down to -1 °C may cause plant death. Drought, especially air drought, significantly reduces yield, so maintaining optimal humidity conditions is important.

For successful cultivation, it is recommended to follow sowing norms of 0.5-0.8 g per square meter, seed planting depth of 2-3 cm, row spacing of 15-20 cm, and inter-row spacing of 80 cm. The variety responds well to the application of organic and mineral fertilizers, promoting the formation of high-quality, abundant yields.
