COMMANDOR — a medium-maturing parthenocarpic cucumber hybrid that begins fruiting 45-50 days after germination. Plants are robust with good leafiness and large dark-green leaves. Female-type flowering, with 1-2 fruits forming in each node and up to 4 on lateral branches. Fruits are 18-20 cm long, 4.0-4.5 cm in diameter, and weigh 180-220 g. Fruits are intensely green with slight green stripes and weak mottling, large ribbed, with white spines. In appearance, they closely resemble the variety "Estafeta" and possess excellent flavor qualities.

The COMMANDOR hybrid is recommended for spring and late-summer/autumn cultivation in glass and plastic greenhouses. It exhibits high resistance to Cercospora leaf spot, true powdery mildew, cucumber mosaic virus, and root rots, as well as moderate resistance to false powdery mildew. Fruits withstand long-distance transportation well, making this hybrid attractive for commercial cultivation.

Plant formation can be done either by the classic method, leaving lateral branches and pinching the apex when it reaches the neighboring plant, or as a single stem with pinching. The hybrid is semi-vegetative, requiring special attention to nutrition: excessive nitrogen fertilizers and dilute solutions should be avoided. Additionally, COMMANDOR has increased water requirements, which should be considered when organizing irrigation.
