Description
The hybrid is recommended for fresh consumption, as well as suitable for canning and pickling. For successful cultivation of Malchish-Kibalchish cucumbers, fertile, medium-loamy, well-aerated soils with neutral reaction and good drainage, enriched with organic matter, are required. Optimal predecessors include potato, onion, cabbage, and pepper. Seed sowing is performed at a depth of 1.5-2 cm at soil temperature not lower than 13°C and air temperature above 15°C, while for seedlings — at a temperature of about 25°C, followed by lowering to 20°C. Transplanting seedlings is done after the threat of frost, with a recommended planting density of 3-4 plants per square meter.
Plant care includes covering with plastic film, training vines on trellises, pinching off lower fruits and side shoots for proper development, as well as regular watering and mineral fertilizer applications. The hybrid’s yield reaches up to 19 kg per square meter in open ground and up to 33 kg under cover. Due to its characteristics, cucumber Malchish-Kibalchish F1 is an excellent choice for cultivation both in open ground and under temporary plastic coverings, ensuring a stable and high-quality harvest of crisp and juicy fruits.
