Neva cucumber is a medium-maturing parthenocarpic salad hybrid, primarily intended for cultivation in film greenhouses. The plant is indeterminate, with moderate branching and a female flowering type, where typically two female flowers form at each node. Leaves are of medium size and dark green, indicating good plant development and resistance to cultivation conditions.

The fruits of the Neva cucumber have an elongated-cylindrical shape with a characteristic neck, measuring about 20 cm in length and weighing from 220 to 240 grams. The fruits have a smooth surface with slight hairiness and a vibrant green color. The taste of the fruits is excellent, making this variety especially popular for salad use. The yield of this variety in film greenhouses reaches 24.7–27.3 kg per square meter, which is a good indicator for this type of cultivation.

The variety is tolerant to root rot and ascochitosis, although it is sensitive to the latter disease, requiring careful care and preventive measures during cultivation. The Neva cucumber was included in the State Register in 2015 and is recommended for cultivation in all regions. This first-generation hybrid was developed by the Scientific Research Institute of Vegetable Crop Selection and is suitable for use in garden and greenhouse conditions, ensuring a stable and high-quality yield.
