PILGRIM

Pilgrim cucumber is an early-maturing parthenocarpic hybrid suitable for cultivation both in open ground and in protected soil. The period from germination to the start of fruiting is 40-45 days, allowing for a quick harvest. The plant is strong, medium-branched, with 1 to 3 or more fruit set per node. The hybrid is self-pollinating and has high yield—up to 10 kg per square meter.

Pilgrim cucumber fruits are cylindrical, 12-14 cm long and weigh 80-100 grams. The skin is dark green, ribbed, covered with white spines. The flesh is juicy and firm with a classic flavor, making this variety versatile in use. The fruits do not overgrow or yellow, ensuring consistent product quality. The hybrid is resistant to diseases such as cladosporiosis, powdery mildew, and cucumber mosaic virus, and also exhibits heat tolerance.

For successful cultivation, choose sunny areas with light, fertile soil enriched with fertilizers, and protected from drafts. Seeds are sown in April-May at a germination temperature of +23...+25 °C. Pilgrim cucumber is suitable for fresh consumption, home cooking, and canning, making it an excellent choice for various purposes.
