Description
PRINCE DANISH is an early-maturing parthenocarpic cucumber hybrid, intended for cultivation in polyethylene greenhouses and open ground. The period from germination to the onset of fruiting is 38-42 days, allowing for a quick harvest. The plant is indeterminate, medium-branched with a female flowering type, and predominantly forms 3-4 female flowers per node. Lateral shoots have limited growth, which simplifies care and harvesting.
PRINCE DANISH fruits are cylindrical, finely ribbed, with white spines, about 10-11 cm long and weighing 120-130 g. The fruits have a dark green color with short stripes and fine hairs. Due to their dense flesh and attractive appearance, they are ideal for pickling and marinating, as well as for fresh use in salads. The taste of the fruits is good, making this variety versatile for various culinary purposes.
The hybrid exhibits high resistance to major cucumber diseases, including cucumber mosaic virus, olive spot, and cladosporiosis, as well as tolerance to powdery mildew and downy mildew. Marketable yield in polyethylene greenhouses reaches 11.5 kg per square meter. PRINCE DANISH has Scandinavian origins and is associated with Danish culinary traditions, where it is used for preparing large pickles and cornichons.
