RISAN

Cucumber Risan F1 is an early parthenocarpic hybrid of cornichon type, intended for cultivation in greenhouses, polytunnels, and open ground. From the appearance of full seedlings to the start of fruiting, it takes 40–42 days. Plants are medium-height with dark green leaves, compact and well-branched. During early growth, one fruit forms in the leaf axils, followed by 1–2 fruits, which contributes to high yield and ease of harvesting.

The fruits of cucumber Risan F1 are cylindrical, dark green without stripes, 9–11 cm long, and weighing 95–100 g. They are medium-ribbed, white-stemmed, and genetically free of bitterness, ensuring excellent taste. Due to their good marketability and high transportability, this hybrid is suitable for both fresh consumption and for canning and pickling.

The hybrid is resistant to several diseases, including cucumber mosaic virus (CMV), leaf spot (Ccu), zucchini yellow mosaic virus (ZYMV), and powdery mildew (Px). Risan F1 also tolerates temperature stress well, making it a reliable choice for various climatic conditions. The recommended planting density is 2.5–3 plants per square meter, with yields reaching over 12 kg/m2 in open ground and more than 19 kg/m2 in protected conditions.
