SHUBERT

Cucumber Shubert — an early-maturing parthenocarpic hybrid, intended for cultivation in protected ground. The maturation period is 42-45 days, allowing harvest as early as late spring. The plant is vigorous, climbing, with female flower type, ensuring stable fruit formation without pollination. Seeds are recommended to be sown in seedlings in April–May, and into the ground in May–June, with planting spacing of 20–30 cm by 70 cm. Cucumber Shubert fruits have an elongated-cylindrical shape with slight ribbing, length from 18 to 20 cm, and weight of 150–200 g. The fruits are bright green, glossy, with a delicate skin, juicy, sweet, and aromatic, making them especially appealing for fresh consumption. The skin is smooth, facilitating processing and salad preparation. The hybrid is characterized by high yield — up to 16–18 kg per square meter. It exhibits resistance to powdery mildew and cucumber mosaic virus, as well as cold and shade tolerance.
