The Slice King cucumber is an early-maturing, bee-pollinated hybrid type slicer, suitable for cultivation in open ground and polyethylene greenhouses. The period from germination to the first harvest is 37-48 days, allowing for early harvest. The plant is medium-height, open-type with female flowering, which contributes to high yield and stable fruiting.
The fruits of the Slice King cucumber are cylindrical, dark green, and 20-25 cm long. The fruits have smooth skin with small, sparse bumps, do not yellow, and have a salad-like flavor. The average fruit weight is 200-250 grams. The cucumbers have excellent taste qualities both fresh and for pickling or salting. When reaching a length of about 20 cm, fruit growth slows down, which helps maintain their market appearance and quality.
The hybrid has high resistance to cladosporiosis and moderate resistance to powdery mildew and false powdery mildew, as well as bacterial diseases, significantly reducing the risk of disease and crop loss.
