SONOK

The SONOK cucumber variety is a fast-maturing parthenocarpic hybrid with female flowering, beginning to bear fruit 42-50 days after emergence. The plant is medium-height, medium-branched with shortened internodes, indeterminate growth, and a tendency to form clusters of fruits (4-5 per node). The hybrid is suitable for cultivation in greenhouses, open fields, and under temporary plastic coverings, making it versatile for various climatic conditions. Sowing for seedlings is recommended in late April, and transplanting into the ground — in late May or early June.

The SONOK cucumber fruits are cylindrical, 10-12 cm long, weighing approximately 80-120 g, with a deep green color and large, sparse or numerous small bumps, as well as black or white spines. The fruits are firm, crisp, juicy, and free of bitterness, making them especially attractive for fresh consumption, as well as for pickling, salting, and marinating. The fruits are not prone to overgrowth and have high commercial quality.

The hybrid exhibits high resistance to major cucumber diseases, including cucumber mosaic virus, true and false powdery mildew, olive and target leaf spot, and vein yellowing virus. The yield of this variety ranges from 5 to 7 kg per plant or 20-22 kg per square meter, ensuring a stable and abundant harvest. Due to its characteristics and resistance, the SONOK cucumber is an excellent choice for both professional farmers and home gardeners.
