STEPKA — an early-maturing parthenocarpic cucumber hybrid, intended for cultivation in open ground and under plastic coverings. The period from germination to the start of fruiting is 43-47 days, allowing for an early harvest. Plants are strong, medium-branched, predominantly female-flowering, which contributes to high fruit set.
Fruits form in clusters of 2-6 per node, ensuring abundant fruiting. The cucumbers are short, large-buckled, with black spines, weighing 90-100 grams. They are distinguished by excellent taste, juiciness, and crisp texture, without bitterness. Such cucumbers are ideal for all types of pickling, marinating, preserving, as well as for fresh consumption.
The hybrid has high yield — 15-17 kg per square meter. Additionally, STEPKA is resistant to major cucumber diseases, including cucumber mosaic virus (CMV1), powdery mildew (PM), root rot, and tolerance to false powdery mildew (FPM).
