When working with Hopey festulolium from DLF, the first thing you notice is its reliability. It is a hybrid that establishes quickly, forming a dense sward that outcompetes weeds effectively. For a farm manager, this translates into cleaner forage and less time spent on weed control during the establishment phase.

Resilience and field performance

The biggest challenge for forage grasses is often winter survival and disease pressure. Hopey performs exceptionally well in this regard. In our fields, we have observed strong resistance to snow mold and fusarium. Even after a long, damp spring, the sward remains thick and healthy, preventing the common gaps seen in less robust varieties.

Nutritional value and utility

• Feed Quality: Consistently maintains protein levels between 15% and 18%, providing an excellent foundation for cattle nutrition.
