Protecting seeds with Vial Trust: an operator's perspective

When preparing for the sowing season, we look for solutions that are both effective and easy to handle in the field. Vial Trust from August-Bel has become our go-to systemic fungicide for wheat, barley, and soybean seeds. After several seasons of use, it proved to be a reliable choice that simplifies our pre-sowing workflow.

Why we rely on it

The formulation as a suspension concentrate is highly practical. It mixes well, doesn't clog the nozzles of our treatment equipment, and stays stable in the tank. Depending on the field history, we typically apply it at rates ranging from 0.5–1.0 L/t, going up to 2.0 L/t for high-risk areas. This dose is more than enough to control root rots, seed mold, and other early-stage pathogens.

• Proven chemistry: The combination of Thiabendazole and Tebuconazole provides a robust defense against helminthosporium and fusarium root rots, as well as net blotch and septoria.
• Systemic protection: It penetrates the seed effectively, safeguarding the seedling right from the moment of germination.

Being a Class 3 hazard product, it follows the industry standard for safe handling. We have never observed any phytotoxicity issues; the crops always emerge evenly and show healthy vigor from the start. For any agronomist or farm owner, Vial Trust is a consistent, no-nonsense tool.
