Description
The "Restructure" variety is a hazelnut hybrid obtained by crossing the "Kudryavchik" and "Trabzon" varieties. The plant is of medium height, reaching 2.5–3 m, with an oval-spreading crown of medium density. The trunk bark is grayish with white speckles; branches depart at a right angle, ensuring a compact bush structure.
The fruits are large and round: 24 mm long, 23 mm wide, weighing about 2.2 g. The shell is light brown, medium thickness (0.8–1 mm), weakly ribbed, and easily separates at maturity. The kernel is dense and completely fills the shell, weighing 1.5–2 g, which corresponds to 49–50% of the total nut mass. The internal composition of the kernel is rich in fats (70%) and proteins (18%), as well as B vitamins and vitamin E.
The variety differs in early maturity – fruits become edible in the second half of August, allowing for harvest planning within shorter periods. Yield is high: up to 2 t/ha of dry nuts in shells with mechanized harvesting, and 15–20 kg per bush. "Restructure" is resistant to frost and drought, shows good self-fertility (0.92–0.95) and 80–82% pollen viability. Thanks to these characteristics, the variety is suitable both for commercial production and for growing in a standard form with subsequent mechanized harvest.
