Hustska Bomba

Hustska Bomba — a hazelnut variety developed in Azerbaijan and successfully adapted to the Ukrainian climate. This mid-late variety is distinguished by high cold resistance and resistance to diseases such as powdery mildew, black spot, and fruit rot. The bushes are vigorous, with medium-density rounded crowns, reaching heights of 3.8 to 6.5 meters and diameters up to 5 meters. The variety is self-fertile and does not require additional pollinators, simplifying cultivation and increasing yield stability. The fruits of Hustska Bomba are large, oval or flattened-round in shape, measuring 18 to 26 mm, with a dense shell and light-brown kernel. The kernel is egg-shaped, accounting for approximately 48-50% of the fruit's total weight, weighing about 1.1-1.2 grams. The nuts have high oil content, making them particularly nutritious and beneficial. The variety is characterized by early fruiting and medium yield, reaching 0.8 to 1 ton of shelled nuts per hectare, equivalent to 17-39 centners per hectare. Hustska Bomba is adaptable to soil types and care requirements, tolerating low temperatures and drought. Additionally, the variety shows resistance to pests such as hazelnut weevil, bud mite, and sawfly. Thanks to these qualities, as well as its high productivity and fruit quality, Hustska Bomba is an excellent choice for commercial cultivation and private gardeners seeking a stable and high-quality hazelnut harvest.
