Description
Maslenyok is a first-generation hemp (Cannabis sativa L. ssp. sativa) hybrid intended for dual-purpose use, which allows for the efficient production of both fiber and oilseeds. The plant belongs to the medium-maturing group, with a vegetative period to technical maturity of about 75–91 days and to full seed maturity of 120–128 days. The stem is of medium length and green in color, and the leaves are also green, which is characteristic of medium-Russian monoecious hemp. The mass of 1000 seeds varies from 15.4 to 19.7 grams, and the seeds exhibit mosaicism and high mass, indicating good quality of planting material. The yield of the crop is quite high and varies depending on growing conditions: stem yield ranges from 89.3 to 176.5 centners per hectare, with fiber content of about 26.4–26.9%. Long fiber yield reaches 15.2–21.0%, and fiber breaking load is 27.8–32.0 kgf, indicating the strength and quality of the obtained raw material. Seed yield ranges from 11.4 to 18.2 centners per hectare, with fat content in seeds reaching 31.6–32%, making this hybrid attractive for the production of oilseeds and obtaining high-quality oil. Maslenyok is adapted for cultivation in a wide range of climatic zones, including northern, central, Ural, and Siberian regions of Russia, which ensures its versatility and resilience. According to the applicant, the hybrid is not affected by diseases, which reduces risks during cultivation and increases yield stability. Due to its characteristics and high productivity, Maslenyok is a promising variety for agricultural production oriented towards the production of both fiber and oilseeds.
