The vegetation period ranges from 107 to 120 days, allowing cultivation adaptation both in the Volga-Vyatsk region and on gray forest soils of the Chuvash Republic. Bushes have a cylindrical shape, large cones, and yield reaches 30–31.5 centners per hectare.
The key quality indicator is the alpha acid content in dry hops, which varies from 9.3% to 10.5%. This ensures a rich bitter taste and stability of aromatic oils necessary for brewing high-class beer. The dry matter content of hops is stably around 25%, indicating a high concentration of beneficial compounds in the cones.
Biochemical analysis of cones confirms the presence of a rich spectrum of resins, polyphenols, and essential oils that impart a characteristic aroma to beer and contribute to freshness preservation. Thanks to these properties, the "Salampi" variety is widely used both in traditional and innovative brewing recipes, ensuring consistent quality of the final product.
