A powerful contact insecticide designed for rapid control of pests in winter wheat and rapeseed crops.
Description
Technical properties of the active ingredient in Alpha Zet
Alpha-cypermethrin at 100 g/L is the core of the Alpha Zet formulation. As a synthetic pyrethroid, it functions as a potent neurotoxin. In field conditions, this translates into a rapid interruption of nerve impulse transmission in pests. The high concentration of the active ingredient ensures a stable result even at low application rates, making this product an economically sound tool for intensive agricultural practices.
Field control and protective mechanism
Since the product acts primarily through contact, the quality of spray coverage is critical. The emulsifiable concentrate forms a stable film on leaf surfaces, maintaining activity for an extended period and neutralizing both existing pests and those migrating into the crop. The product performs effectively against key targets:
- Winter wheat: control of sunn pest (Eurygaster integriceps), cereal leaf beetle, cereal flies, aphids, and thrips.
- Winter rapeseed: comprehensive protection against rapeseed blossom beetle and flea beetles.
Due to the physicochemical properties of the emulsion, Alpha Zet adheres quickly to plant surfaces, minimizing wash-off after the spray dries.
Application guidelines
The product's efficacy is achieved within an application rate of 0.1–0.25 L/ha. To maximize effectiveness, treatments should be performed upon the first signs of pest activity before significant damage occurs. The product is categorized as Hazard Class 2, making personal protective equipment mandatory during handling. A maximum of 2 applications per season is permitted, with a mandatory pre-harvest interval of 20 to 30 days. Proper calibration of sprayers for fine-droplet application is recommended to fully utilize the contact action of this insecticide.
