Reliable potato protection at the starting stage

When heading out to the field in the spring, the main goal is to ensure uniform germination without "surprises" like wireworms or Colorado potato beetles. The seed dresser "Armada" from "Jiangsu Institute of Ecomone Changzhou, China.s" has become a tool for our farm that saves significant time on foliar spraying later in the season. We use it as a systemic seed treatment, and the effect is visible immediately after the sprouts emerge.

Application features and performance

The product works in a complex way. Thanks to the combination of pencycuron and imidacloprid, we address two key issues: fungal infections (rhizoctonia) and soil pests. Importantly, "Armada" is an emulsion for seed dressing that coats the tuber well without clogging the nozzles of the equipment during application.

• Dosage: We stick to the rate of 0.2–0.25 L per ton. This is optimal for complete coverage without wasting the product.
• Systemic action: The substance penetrates the plant, so aphids and beetles that feed on young leaves die quickly.
• Safety: The product is classified as hazard class 3, which is standard for such plant protection products, but requires basic safety precautions when handling chemicals.

Practical experience

The main advantage is that the maximum number of treatments is limited to one. This is convenient: you treat at planting and forget about problems during the early stages. The potatoes emerge from the soil strong, free of rhizoctonia spots, and the underground parts remain untouched by pests. For the farm, this means less time spent with the sprayer at the beginning of the season and a preserved crop that does not need to be "saved" with additional insecticides during critical growth phases.
